As 2024 draws to a close, we take a moment to reflect on what has been an exceptional year for Power Utilities Group. This year was especially significant as we celebrated our 90th anniversary, a testament to our legacy of reliability, innovation, and service in the industrial sector. 90 Years Strong
We marked this milestone anniversary with a series of events that brought together our staff, clients, and partners. From a celebratory day at the races in Stratford-upon-Avon to smaller team gatherings, the year-long celebrations reminded us of the solid foundation our company was built upon.
Here’s a month-by-month look at the highlights that shaped our 90th-anniversary year:
February
We kicked off the year with a food bank collection for Breaking Bread in Wednesbury, supporting local families in need. The generosity of our team made a meaningful difference to this vital cause.
April
Easter brought a fun and charitable initiative with our Easter egg straw draw, raising £115.20 for Age Concern. It was heartwarming to see the team come together to spread joy and support a great organisation.
May
This spring, we proudly became a member of the Mental Health Charter, formalising our commitment to supporting employee well-being whilst also kicking off with a friendly tournament of darts!
June
Summer was busy, featuring a clothing collection to aid those in need. We’ve collected 41kg in weight! .. and a Euro sweepstake that brought some friendly competition to the office.
August
In August, our staff showed off their culinary talents with a bake sale (some were bought from the local supermarket, but we don’t judge 😉), raising £91.50 for the Samaritans charity. The event was a sweet success!
September
The team enjoyed some well-deserved downtime with a complimentary day at the races at Stratford-upon-Avon from Mr G and James Gardner. Strengthening bonds and celebrating Power Utilities Group 90th anniversary.
October
Our sister company Aercon had a busy month, exhibiting at the prestigious IHEEM exhibition in Manchester, where they showcased their innovative air pressure stabilisers to industry professionals.
November
As the holidays approached, we returned to supporting the local community with a winter food bank collection for Walsall North Food Bank, continuing our efforts to fight food insecurity.
