Supporting Young Talent Through Work Experience

Last week, Power Utilities Group had the pleasure of welcoming Ethan, a secondary school
student, for a week-long work experience placement.

Throughout his time with us, Ethan spent time across all areas of the business, including
engineering, finance, administration and logistics. He worked closely with staff in multiple
departments, gaining practical, hands-on experience and a genuine understanding of what
it’s like to be part of a busy and diverse workplace.

Work experience placements like this are a valuable part of preparing young people for life
beyond school. The step between education and employment can feel uncertain, especially
when students have limited exposure to what a real working environment looks like. By
offering insight into different roles and teams, placements help build confidence, develop
practical skills and open up ideas for future career paths.

At Power Utilities Group, we see these opportunities as a way to invest in the next
generation. It is important that young people feel supported, inspired and informed when
they start thinking about their futures. Our team always enjoys sharing their knowledge and
showing students the many different directions a career in this industry can take.

Thank you to Ethan for your enthusiasm and curiosity throughout the week. It was a
pleasure having you with us, and we wish you all the best with your next steps.
