Here at Power Utilities Group, we understand that promoting mental health in the workplace is essential for a healthy, productive, and supportive environment. That’s why, in 2024, we proudly joined the Mental Health Charter—a UK-wide initiative that helps organisations prioritise employee wellbeing and reduce the stigma around mental health.
Now, as we enter our 2nd year, we’re proud to announce that we’ve strengthened our commitment by upgrading to Gold Membership with the Mental Health Charter.
This achievement reflects the continued work we’ve done across the business to foster a positive culture of care, communication, and mental health support.
As Gold Members, we pledge to:
- Raise awareness of mental health support at work
- Understand how poor mental health affects staff
- Run workshops to reduce stigma and promote open dialogue
- Offer training and signpost professional support
- Recognise the value of peer-led education
As part of this upgrade:
💡 All staff now have access to the MHC Hub app, offering resources, helplines, discounts, and more.
🎓 Training opportunities will be available for qualifications in Mental Health First Aid, Financial Wellbeing, and Suicide First Aid.
🌱 We’ve supported reforestation in Madagascar via Ecologi | B Corp™ and Eden Reforestation Projects

Our Gold Membership is more than just a status—it shows our dedication to:
- Prioritising mental health and wellbeing at all levels of the business
- Providing access to trained mental health first aiders
- Regularly reviewing our wellbeing policies and support systems
- Creating a workplace where talking about mental health is normal and encouraged
Becoming part of the Mental Health Charter has been a positive and powerful step for Power Utilities Group. Upgrading to Gold recognises the journey we’re on—and our long-term commitment to building a resilient and supportive organisation.

A Word of Encouragement to Our Team and Beyond
To our incredible team—thank you for embracing this journey and supporting one another. Mental health is just as important as physical health, and looking after it takes courage and care. Whether you’re thriving or going through a tough time, know that help is available, and you’re never alone. Let’s continue building a workplace where respect, empathy, and understanding are at the heart of what we do.
Together, we can break down the stigma, raise awareness, and lead by example in supporting mental health in the workplace.

If you or someone you know is struggling, support is available.
